These Black Zebra tomato seeds provide a natural and stabilized cross between Green Zebra and Black Tomato, crossed by Jeff Dawson. The intersection was made sometime in the past 10 to 20 years.

The fruit is very similar in size and shape to the Green Zebra, being perfectly round and usually about four to five inches in diameter. The fruit is purple-mahogany with vertical dark green stripes, and the inside has a mahogany flesh color. The flavor is exceptionally rich and complex with hints of smoke and sweetness, indicating the origins of black tomatoes. This species is very rich in antioxidants.

Perfect for eating raw, soups, sauces, salads and bruschetta, the fruits retain their unique flavor when heated only briefly.

The plants are known for their good and abundant yields, long growing vigor and good resistance to disease and drought.
