These yellow zucchini seeds ‘Goldena’ yield a type of zucchini with medium, bushy growth and yellow, cylindrical fruits. Fruit that is ripe has a vibrant yellow, or “golden,” color. Hence the name “Goldena. The fruits have a length of about 20 cm and are best for cooking, baking, woks and for in the oven.
Sow two to three zucchini seeds in one spot. After germination, you can leave one plant per spot. If you are sowing in April, it is best to start in greenhouse or propagator. After icing saints on May 15, when the chance of frost is almost over, you can sow directly in the open ground in your vegetable garden.
The yellow zucchini is recommended for stewing, boiling, baking and canning. Moreover, it is ideal for quick blanching before serving as a vegetarian pasta with other vegetables. It also works well in winter preserves.
The zucchini flowers are also edible. You can fill and deep-fry these well, for example.
