This Jamaican Scotch Bonnet is recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture (MOA) as the authentic pepper of Jamaica, hence the name MOA. Steve Queen of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, distributed the seeds for this genuine, unusual, but well-known (in Jamaica) Scotch Bonnet. This Scotch Bonnet variety is recognized by the Government of Jamaica as a true Scotch Bonnet variety for commercial cultivation. It has a wonderful sweet taste and is quite productive. For those who love Scotch Bonnets, growing this pepper variety is a necessity. The fruits ripen from green to orange and have a similar heat level to the Habanero.
