These red beet seeds yield a productive beet variety that is suggested for winter storage and can be grown for summer harvest. This species of red beet forms round roots with a funnel-shaped base and a skin that is dark crimson in color. The species is ideally suited for immediate consumption and for winter storage.

With a mass of about 300 grams, it develops round beets. ‘Okragly Ciemnoczerwony’ or ‘Dark Red’ is one of the more traditional Polish varieties, the cross section of the root occasionally revealing whitish rings. The flesh contains a lot of betanin and carbohydrates, and the high concentration of sugars in the beet makes it very sweet.

The meat is most commonly used for direct consumption because it is sweet and savory. It is also very good for juicing.

Don’t be afraid to keep your harvest for a long time if stored properly. We recommend it as a storage type.
