These onion seeds produce very large (700-750 g) onions with an exquisite, incredibly delicate, sweet flavor, and are widely used for salads and for cooking. The bulbs with a somewhat elongated shape have a pale yellow skin.

These onions can be grown from seedlings or by sowing directly into the ground. Bulbs grow larger when grown from seedlings, compared to directly in the open ground. They are not suitable for long-term storage.

The Globo onion requires humus soil that is sufficiently wet for the onion seeds to germinate well.

Tested onion seeds

These onion seeds are laboratory tested by Toraf for such things as germination, seed purity and moisture content. The tests done are according to ISTA (International Seed Evaluation Associaton) guidelines. These onion seeds remain good in the package for 2 to 5 years, depending on the batch and type of onion seed.

Organic onion seeds

The onion seeds are organically harvested and tested. On the package is an expiration date and the “batch” number.
