Buy Lollo Rossa seeds
This beautiful Lollo Rossa has dark red, curly leaves. Compared to other types of green salads, they contain more vitamins A and C. Recommended for use as a pure condiment on salads, sandwiches or other foods. Spaced a few centimeters apart, seeds can be sown year-round in pots or during the growing season in your vegetable garden to a depth of 0.5 cm. After 3-4 weeks, when the leaves are 8-10 cm high, the first harvest can be done. Because the leaves of the Lolla Rossa grow back quickly after picking, you can achieve two to three harvests with a single sowing.
What is Lollo Rossa?
The leaves of Lollo Rossa lettuce, also known as the radicchio among lettuces, are full-bodied and have a subtle, nutty flavor without being bitter. The texture is tough. This type of crisp lettuce has deep red, intensely curly leaves that turn green at the base. Fresh and burgundy in color.
