Winner is a late leek variety, with a growing season of about 175 days, recommended for harvesting in fall and after overwintering in the field, or for harvesting in spring after the soil has thawed. It tolerates temperature drops down to -15C. The length of the consumable part is 20-25 cm.
This well-known and appreciated leek variety is characterized by high yields with excellent structure.
The beautifully shaped, lush stems make an excellent addition to winter dishes and salads.
The seeds offered come from the Polish products WegAna, and are provided with a plant passport issued by a competent authority under: Regulation (EU) 2016/2031 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 26 October 2016 on protective measures against plant pests. The packages of WegAna have a batch number and expiration date. However, the packages do not have the Dutch language.
Tested leek seeds
These leek seeds are laboratory tested by WegAna for such things as germination, seed purity and moisture content. The tests done are according to ISTA (International Seed Evaluation Associaton) guidelines.
Organic leek seeds
The leek seed is organically harvested and tested. On the package is an expiration date and the “batch” number.
