The chicory Palla Rossa seeds do not actually produce chicory, but red chicory. It is a type of chicory for the summer and fall harvest. Chicory, or red chicory, is a valuable vegetable used in salads, for example, is valued for its positive effect on the formation of red blood cells and is high in vitamins and minerals. The Palla Rossa variety is slightly bitter.
These seedse produce well-filled, round heads, resistant to breaking, with scarlet leaves.
It is best to sow them from mid-May to mid-August in several pots or in a seedbed to a depth of 1-1.5 cm; the seeds germinate after two weeks. Should you want to start earlier, start under glass or with roots. Plant the seedlings in a permanent spot at a distance of 20 x 30 cm.
Harvesting should be carried out before the onset of night frost.
The producer Toraf is a Polish supplier with high quality seeds. However, they only supply packaging with Polish text. However, the seeds are exactly the same as many Dutch suppliers, but more economical.
Tested chicory seeds
These chicory seeds are laboratory tested by Toraf for such things as germination, seed purity and moisture content. The tests done are according to ISTA (International Seed Evaluation Associaton) guidelines.

The chicory seeds are organically harvested and tested. On the package is an expiration date and the “batch” number.
