Cauliflower Early Snowball X: The name of the variety actually says it all. These cauliflower seeds yield an early to mid-early variety that is perfect for home growers with a vegetable garden. The Early Snowball is an annual plant and grows about 1 to 1.5 pounds. The cabbage of the Early Snowball X, which is very white and almost spherical, can really look like a snowball. Individual florets are densely packed and have excellent coverage of the outer leaves.
This is one of the earlier forms of cauliflower and it takes 60 to 65 days from planting to harvest. Harvesting often takes place in September or October, depending on the year.
Cauliflower Early Snowball X has lobed leaves with prominent innervation that range in color from light to medium green. They are moderately wavy and quite long, measuring between 25 and 40 cm in length. The leaves seal the cabbage well.
