The Aji Amarillo chili pepper is a hot, fruity pepper from South America with a vibrant orange-yellow skin. This pepper is also appropriately called the “yellow chili” because “amarillo” in Spanish means “yellow” and “aji” in South America means “chili.” Aji Amarillo grows in every region of Peru. It was used by the Incas and is now the most widely used chili pepper there.
Given that it appears in a variety of national meals, including main dishes, side dishes and more, it could be argued that this pepper is the most crucial component in Peruvian cuisine. They are available in Peruvian markets in various forms, such as fresh and dried, canned or as a paste.
The Aji Amarillo pepper has a delicious, berry-like flavor similar to other peppers from this region. Despite having a medium hit level, it does not burn your mouth. It also works well as a seasoning.
Fresh Aji Amarillo peppers have a flavor that many say is extremely vibrant, making them excellent for adding to sauces and salsas or for drying and grinding into powders.
A must-have for Peruvian cuisine, known for its distinctive flavor.
Aji Amarillo pepper seeds
These Aji Amarillo pepper seeds come from selected growers who carefully isolate and dry their pepper seeds from their strongest plants. This eliminates the chance of cross-pollination, and our seeds deliver great germination.
Organic pepper seeds
Our Aji Amarillo pepper seeds come from an Ethno botanist. Ethnobotany is the study of the relationship between humans and plants. By taking this into account, the plants, and therefore pepper seeds, are grown strictly organically.
