Buy Tigerella tomato seeds

Tigerella tomato seeds produce the Tigerella tomato that lives up to its name. The vibrantly striped Tigerella has healthy growth and delicious fruit, giving it the best of both worlds. However, this tomato is more complex than it first appears.

In the early 1970s, the eye-catching “Tigerella” first hit the market. Today, hobby gardeners are the ones who cultivate tomatoes and tomato seeds the most. Although no one is sure of the specific location where “Tigerella” was first planted, it is believed to have developed from the famous red salad tomato “Ailsa Craig.” The known species “Craigella” and “Tangella” are related to Tigerella and most likely came from the United Kingdom during the same period.

The low-maintenance Tigerella tomato plant grows well outdoors or in greenhouses. It has fruit ripening about mid-July and is aromatic. When spots of an almost golden orange color appear on the dark, red skin of tomatoes, the fruit is ripe. With notes of sweetness and soft acidity, the tomatoes are unusually fruity. A favorite among many gardeners, this tomato variety is a Heirloom variety because it can be grown from its own seeds.

Tigerella tomato plants thrive in garden beds as well as in pots. The ideal potting material for supporting young plants is specially formulated potting soil for tomatoes. The best option for supplemental feeding are our Biobizz Grow and BioBizz Bloom. With ideal NPK values and nutrients from Dutch cane sugar, tomatoes become deliciously aromatic and sweet!

Plant your Tigerella as deep as possible for best development. Simply remove the lower leaves of the plant, drill a hole and place “Tigerella.” This cultivar, which can grow up to two meters tall, needs some kind of climbing support, such as a trellis, to thrive.

Your Tigerella tomato should be grown with two or three main stems; the side shoots should either be pruned or fall out. Your plant will put its energy into producing roots instead of stems if you prune the side branches.

Most tomato varieties, including the Tigerella tomato, would benefit from some rain cover.

Tigerella seeds

These Tigerella seeds come from selected growers who carefully isolate and dry their tomato seeds from their strongest plants. As a result, the risk of disease is zero, and our seeds deliver great germination. When the tomato seeds begin to germinate, it’s beneficial to use a grow light, as young plants need plenty of light to grow healthy and strong. During this early stage, it’s ideal to have the light on for 12 to 16 hours each day.

Organic tomato seeds

Our Tigerella tomato seeds come from an Ethno botanist. Ethnobotany is the study of the relationship between humans and plants. By taking this into account, the plants, and therefore tomato seeds, are grown strictly organically.
